Dash started out as a social gps platform, but somehow it was transformed into a hardware company which were not a strong suite of Dash. The second generation, smaller and more compact Dash was suppose to come up during the x-mas, but it did not clear FCC inspection, not Dash's fault but nevertheless they couldn't go to market with it. With TomTom, Garmin, and BestBuy all coming out with their own internet connected GPS this x-mas and next year. This meant disaster for Dash, they had to do something fast, so they went back to the dash platform. I certainly hope they will survive because it's a great concept, and I really enjoy using the Send2Car and Yahoo! local search feature that's on their device. Frankly it’s a little too late.
